10 Achievable Goals

You don’t have to always wait until the New Year to set goals resolutions for yourself. Reinvent yourself, renew your mindset and aim to be a better person any time of the year. I’m sure there will be a few relatable ones below that you might incorporate into your 2019.

  1. Care less about what others about you.
This deserves the top spot because the less you care, the happier you are. You don’t need to seek approval from anyone and although you can’t please everyone, just focus on the ones that treat you as you treat them. The ones that judge every little thing people do are most likely petty and insecure within themselves. Cut people off who drag you down!
  2. Think more positively.
This is another important one. When you start to think negatively it can be a seemingly impossible rut to get out of but the more positive mindset you have, the better the outcome. Put positivity into everything you do and you’ll succeed much sooner than if negativity was getting in the way.
  3. Try out a new hobby.
Putting your creativity and passion into something new like a blog, photography, a sport or whatever you fancy is a fun way to use free time. As long as it’s not procrastination (I know this all too well) it’ll be beneficial. It could also improve your well-being and happiness and you can meet so many new people through this.
  4. Be more healthy.
Moving about more and eating healthier can really boost your mood and energy (even though the thought of exercise makes me question how that is possible) but it is a proven fact! You’ll feel less tired and more ready to go and happier. Granted, I am yet to begin my gym membership that I told myself to start months ago…
  5. Travel more.
Travelling is a fun way to explore and do something different. It doesn’t have to be a huge trip to the other side of the world, it can even be to another city in your country or somewhere a short flight away. Going away for even just a weekend is a great way to relax, refresh and get away from every day life for a couple of days.
  6. Save more.
A little contradictory to the last point but hey. I know saving up is really hard especially with all of the things we need want to buy but saving a little each month really can add up. You can put this towards anything that makes you happy.
  7. Treat yourself more.
This one is self explanatory – you deserve to treat yourself! Doing things for yourself and taking the time to relax or have fun is so mentally beneficial. You’ll feel happier and ready to take on the world again.
  8. Read more.
Getting lost in a great book can be so therapeutic as you forget about the world while you’re in a new fictional world. Not only is it educational to keep reading to expand your vocabulary but it’s beneficial for your mind and well-being. I know how hard it is to resist a bit (a lot) of Netflix, but sometimes it can actually be better to read.
  9. Go to more gigs.
Good music and good company, what isn’t there to love? Going to gigs with friends is such a fun way to spend an evening. Even if it’s an artist you’re not too familiar with, it’s great to support up and coming artists and their tickets are usually so affordable. Gigs are always great idea and why not combine travel with music by visiting a new city and experiencing a show there.
  10. Discover more new artists.
Discovering new music and artists is so refreshing when you’re stuck in the routine of listening to the same songs by the same artists. That’s also great but adding in a few unfamiliar ones is a good thing. Using the discover features on music streaming platforms is such an easy way of doing this and you’ll find so many new talents.
